My Journey
Hello! I'm Tommy, recent graduate from HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts. I have a bachelor's degree in Applied Information Technology with a specialization in System- and Network Engineering. Aside from this, I am learning cybersecurity in my free time since I aspire to become a cybersecurity penetration tester and red teamer.
My journey in technology began with a curiosity about how systems work behind the scenes. Since then, I've been constantly learning and improving my skills, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in computer networking, system administration, and cybersecurity.
At the time of writing, I have completed my degree, graduating in June 2026. With my studies behind me, I am now focusing on expanding my knowledge of penetration testing and working towards earning my first industry certification. At the same time, I am actively seeking opportunities to begin my career in cybersecurity or system/network-engineering. I also plan to document my journey through blog posts, sharing what I am learning, the projects I am working on, and the experiences that keep me challenged and motivated along the way.
